LIST: Where to access Free HealthCare, Medicines from Government in Region 9

“Just take care of the poor, I'll take care where to find the money.”
-President Duterte to Health Secretary Ubial
The National Government has just finalized the allocation of additional budget for the Health Department and PhilHealth to ensure that every Filipino will be given access to a Universal HealthCare.

Keeping his campaign promise to prioritize the welfare of the needy Filipinos, President Duterte has fulfilled many of them in less than six months in office. The Duterte administration has successfully allocated additional budgets for the Health Department to fund the needs of Filipinos who are seeking medical services both in government and private hospitals anywhere in the country.
P3 billion increase in the PhilHealth was approved so that all Filipinos will now be covered by the universal healthcare program, while indigent patients will not have to pay for anything in government hospitals under the No Balance Billing (NBB) policy.

Additional funds for the Department of Health (DOH) worth P1.521 billion for the Doctors to the Barrio program, construction of additional health facilities, and medical assistance to indigent patients; as well as the P2.646 billion allocation for the establishment of DOH-Treatment and Rehabilitation Centers in regions which do not have such facility.
Moreover, PAGCOR has already turned over a total of 5 Billion pesos to the national government to beef up government's programs in health and other industries. President Duterte has allocated 2 Billion pesos to be spent to provide free medicines for all Filipinos so that they no longer have to buy it for themselves. They can directly get free medicines from any government facility nationwide.

Earlier today, Government executives announced that indigents don't even have to be a PhilHealth member to be covered by the No Balance Billing (NBB) Policy. Meaning, indigent patients will not have to pay for anything in government hospitals.

This program is much like Lingap Para Sa Mahirap, a program that President Duterte started in Davao City while he is still a Mayor there.

In anticipation of increased queries on where to access these FREE services, we have compiled the list of PhilHealth accredited medical facilities in the country wherein one could avail FREE medical services and get Free Medicines as well.
