LOOK: Yolanda survivors hold rally near PNoy's home

It seems like the sins of the past administration won't be forgotten any time soon.

Photos of survivors of the Yolanda tragedy holding a rally near the home of former President BS Aquino at Times Street in Quezon City have emerged. Yolanda, internationally known as Haiyan, was a powerful typhoon that struck the country in 2013 leaving nearly 6,000 people dead according to official numbers provided by the previous government.

It's not immediately known what exactly the group was protesting, but they can be seen holding placards bearing the photos of former President Aquino, former DILG Sec. Mar Roxas, former DSWD Sec. Dinky Soliman and former housing czar Sen. Ping Lacson.

The placards also read 'Wanted,' 'Pasista' and 'Palpak.'

The Aquino government was heavily criticized for its handling of the relief operations in the aftermath of the Yolanda disaster. 3 years after the disaster, the previous government has progressed very slowly in addressing the housing relocation for the displaced families.

"From a target of more than 205,000 shelters, only 20,893 houses had been built as of March 2016,” or only 10 percent, said Danny Carranza, CYSP advocacy and policy leader.

Newly installed President Rody Duterte decries the current situation and called on his new government officials to fast-track everything to ensure the relocation anytime soon.

Just recently, just 18 days after President Duterte gave his directive, families have started to relocate into their new houses.

No immediate reaction from the Aquino's camp is expected any time soon.
