Ouch! Pres. Duterte finds no point in going after Trillanes: ‘He's too insignificant’ - by Siena Luchansky

“Too insignificant,” that's how President Rodrigo Duterte sees one of his staunch critic Antonio Trillanes IV.
The squabble between the two started right after Duterte declined to take Trillanes as his running mate in the last Presidential elections. Since then, Trillanes has dedicated most of his time criticizing Duterte even before he got elected as the country's next President.

Trillanes launched numerous antics including attempts to pin down Duterte on alleged bank accounts that contains Billions of illegal wealth. Trillanes was then proven wrong after then Presidential candidate Rodrigo Duterte opened his bank account to scrutiny. And just recently, the President has ordered the Anti-Money Laundering Council to open his financial records- a challenge that Trillanes has yet to respond to.

INSIGNIFICANT
“He is too insignificant to bother yourself. Hindi na ko papatol doon,” Duterte told reporters in Malacañang on Monday.

The statement was made after Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II asked the crowd to help him pin down Trillanes during a pro-Duterte rally at the Quirino Granstand on Saturday.

Aguirre asked the Duterte supporters at the rally who they want to go after next. They replied, “Trillanes.”
