Leni goes to UN; Netizens hit Leni for using her office to wage war versus President Duterte

Citing the “palit ulo” scheme that literally means exchange of head, Vice President Leni Robredo hit anew the human rights abuses in the administration’s war on drugs.

Leni Robredo again criticized President Duterte's drug war in a recorded video message which will be shown at the annual meeting of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs in Vienna, Austria.

Here's the video of Leni using her office to produce such material. The video also borne her office's official seal.

This blatant use of the tax payer's money to fight a sitting President is not only unethical, but also contemptuous.

Is this the way of Leni in fighting her dissenters? Last week, Leni declared her personal war versus trolls. She is calling Filipino who disagrees with her as trolls.

Leni also said that she was personally hurt of #NagaLeaks. It is a series of blog articles that detailed her late husband's corrupt shenanigans including tolerating drug lords in their hometown in Naga. Leni has since denied the leaked allegations.

Leni has become more aggressive in attacking the administration publicly after the alleged exposes surfaced.

When asked for his comment on his critics, President Duterte merely said "Ok. I respect.... I may not agree with what they said, but I will defend their right to say it."

The Palace has since refuted Leni's irresponsible allegations.

Here's the statement from Presidential Spokesman Ernesto Abella:

Eight months into our campaign against illegal drugs, Vice President Robredo, suddenly refers to an alleged "palit-ulo" scheme - which she mistakenly describes as substituting a relative for a missing drug personality.

While she has the right to speak freely on matters of public concern, she also has the responsibility to be careful with her statements especially avoiding unfounded allegations from questionable sources.

The Philippine National Police’s (PNP) "palit-ulo" scheme, which the Vice President gravely misunderstood, refers to a commitment of a drug suspect to provide assistance in the arrest of a "bigger fish" in the illegal drug syndicate, whether an up-line/superior/supplier of the arrested suspect, in exchange for lighter charges.

Just recently, the President signed Executive Order 15, creating an Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs and Anti-Illegal Drug Task Force, wherein the entire bureaucracy has been harnessed to assist in the implementation of the anti-illegal drugs campaign. The Committee is chaired by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), with the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), DILG, DOJ, DOH, DepEd, DSWD, DTI, DA, DND, TESDA, PIA, PAO, OSG, PCG, PNP, NBI, BOC, Bureau of Immigration, AFP, and AMLC as members thereof.
