Lawyer mulls criminal charges vs Rappler, Maria Ressa and Pia Ranada

Here's the post from Krizette Laureta Chu:

Atty. Bruce Villafuerte Rivera is mulling over suing Rappler, Maria Ressa and Pia Ranada for an article on Duterte supporters being paid.

In that case, it may be a class suit.
Ako personally, I would support an action against someone who keeps perpetuating the fake news that Duterte supporters are paid. I can only speak for myself, but mas lugi pa nga ako for being a Duterte supporter and walang bayad at all. I mean, all those stresses, all those time spent on tangling with haters on FB, when I could be doing something else.

What will I get from this? Wala naman akong balak maging politico, wala akong balak mag artista, wala akong balak ma appoint, at wala din akong balak pagka perahan ito because Duterte is not the kind to pay.

Because these people do not understand passion, they think the only reason you do what you do is because you are paid to do it.
I've seen this allegation everywhere and yet nobody has been able to prove anything.

What part of I LOVE DUTERTE BECAUSE I THINK HE IS GOOD FOR THE COUNTRY AND I WILL FIGHT FOR HIM MIND BODY SOUL don't you understand?

Also, should Atty Rivera need it, I am sure many Filipinos will contribute to the fund for litigation. I will.

Wouldn't it be ironic--divine comedy-- if the people supposed to be paid for being the government's supporters will spend money from their own pocket to actually sue someone for saying they get money out of this?

On that note, puwede bang guarantor/co-maker natin sa loans ang mga nag aallege na bayaran tayo since they are so sure we have the money?

Nakakapagod na ang katangahan nila.

Why don't you all prove it? You're all so pathetic. I pity you that you don't know what love for this country feels like that you have to reduce us to paid supporters. Mga hampaslupa.

UPDATE: Here's a statement from Atty. Bruce Rivera.

CALLING ALL DDS-SOCMED BLOGGERS

Since the campaign period of 2016, we have been maligned, belittled and branded as paid trolls. And we still are called trolls especially by Rappler, Maria Ressa and Pia Ranada.

I am no longer allowing myself to be abused this way. Winnie Monsod called Mocha and myself as trolls like it is a gospel truth with no hint of guilt or hesitation. They have allowed to brand us with a name so degrading it demeans even the best of us.

So this is my call to you. On August 21, 2017, I will prepare a Criminal Complaint against Rappler, Ressa and Ranada and those who will join me will sign both a criminal and civil complaint. The charges will not be announced in public so that they cannot prepare for this. I am imploring Atty. Jesus Falcis to represent them so we can see each other in court and test our abilities as lawyers. The venue will be announced later.

If President Duterte will not make them stop because it becomes an issue of freedom of speech, then we as the aggrieved parties will have a better chance because now it will be about civil liberties. And let us see who has rights that need to be protected.

Perhaps, if mainstream media cannot police their own ranks..social media will teach them lessons they have never learned because of their misplaced arrogance.

Ipapakita namin sa inyo na nagkakaisa kami para labanan kayo sa walang humpay ninyong pagmamalabis.

Please share sa hindi ko na-tag.
