As of posting, 94.47 percent of the nationwide election returns or 82,996 of 87,851 election returns have already been transmitted.

At 9:08 a.m., Revilla edged incumbent Sen. Nancy Binay and ranked 11th with 14,005,543 votes.

Meanwhile, reelectionist Senators Cynthia Villar and Grace Poe, as well as former Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go, Pia Cayetano, and former Bureau of Corrections chief Ronald de la Rosa remained as front runners.

They are followed by incumbent Sen. Sonny Angara, former Sen. Lito Lapid, late dictator’s daughter and Ilocos governor Imee Marcos, and Francis Tolentino.

On December 7, 2018, the Sandiganbayan Special First Division cleared Revilla of plunder.

He was accused of allocating P224.5 million from his “pork barrel,” or Priority Development Assistance Fund, to bogus non-government organizations owned by mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles.
