Maris Racal set to lose sponsorships? Companies urged to pull out support

After the social media brouhaha yesterday, incensed netizens have started campaigns to ask companies to pull out sponsorships for the beleaguered starlet.
It all started when the starlet went berserk on her Twitter feed attacking President Duterte due to his recent pronouncements to shoot & kill NPA-associated groups who will sow public unrest.

This pronouncement came after Kadamay, a communist front, allegedly told residents of a barangay in Quezon City to assemble as a media group will be conducting relief operations. This, inspite of a government order to halt any kind of public gathering.

After realizing that no food will be distributed after all, the residents picketed on the streets and held a protest. This prompted the police to rush to the scene and tried to disperse the crowd.

The Kadamay-led crowd didn't heed the police and continued picketing on the streets.

This resulted in a forced crowd dispersal.

Then videos from the scene started flooding the social media. Coincidentally, a TV crew was at the scene and filmed the entire debacle. COINCIDENTALLY.

Was it a mere coincidence that a TV crew was there? Given the reputation of Kadamay to sow public unrest, it's really hard to believe that the rally was not deliberate. According to some groups, it was all planned and a TV crew was hired to further advance their propaganda.

Many Filipinos also expressed that they will no longer attend any scheduled events and shows that Maris Racal will be starring in.

Several online campaigns also urged LGUs to declare Maris Racal persona non grata.

Will they successfully convince companies to pull out sponsorships for Maris Racal? Only time can tell.
