ABS-CBN employee casually admits gathering names of pro-Duterte co-workers that they will subject to persecution?

Honestly, this is not a total shocker for Abs-cbn.

But persecuting your own employees for their political beliefs is just way petty if not illegal!

ABS-CBN is notorious for their petty antics, though.

An employee of the beleaguered Kapamilya network has publicly admitted that an effort is currently underway at ABS-CBN that intends to out employees who are DDS. DDS refer to people who are supporters of President Duterte.

It all started when a prominent social media influencer and political commentator, Mark Lopez, posted about the said plan on his timeline.

"According to the post of one Nelson Macababat Jr. of ABS CBN, they are now compiling a list of suspected DDS in their ranks, which they want to exclude and discriminate in giving out assignments or projects," Lopez wrote on his Facebook page.

Lopez exposed the supposed effort to gather names of ABS-CBN employees who are supporters of President Duterte.

"A director, Nuel Naval, wants to have a copy of the list and is encouraging others to identify all those who they intend to DISCRIMINATE.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the corporate culture in ABS CBN.

Ganyan po sila.

Kawawa daw sila pero sila mismo, ilalaglag ang kapwa nila kasamahan dahil sa pulitika," Lopez added.

No one thought this could get more interesting. What unfolded next was something no one expected nor even imagined.

Apparently, both Macababat Jr. and Naval are Facebook friends of Lopez as he was able to tag the two in his post.

Surprisingly, Nelson Macababat Jr. responded to Lopez's allusion and even confirmed the possible criminal offense that they are committing.

"Hindi suspected, confirmed yan. DDS SUCKS!," Macababat Jr. replied to Lopez's post.

This admission of Macababat Jr. confirmed the pettiness of what is going on inside the TV network.

Mark Lopez, on the other hand, said he has a screenshot of the conversation where the said effort was being planned.

ABS-CBN has been repeatedly accused of scores of labor malpractice and unfair employee treatment but this latest effort to persecute their own employees for their political beliefs is a new even for them and has never been reported happening in any company in the Philippines.

Now it begs the question: If its employees are shamelessly admitting in public that they are perpetuating this horrendous effort like it's an honorary distinction, did they have the blessing of its bosses?

I don't want to speculate, but if a person could proudly admit it in public like what Nelson Macababat Jr. is doing, it must be sanctioned by the decision makers.

Regardless, a criminal investigation must be launched and those who will be found guilty of abuse should be brought to justice.
